Premier Li Keqiang met with the visiting Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan in Beijing on April 27.
Panjaitan came to China to co-host the fifth meeting of a bilateral dialogue at the deputy prime minister level.
The Premier praised the development of China-Indonesia relations, saying that both are populous countries, so they have many common interests, huge development potential and are highly complementary in cooperation.
The steady and stable bilateral relationship not only brings benefits to the people in the two countries and China-ASEAN relations, but also is a good sign of regional development and Asian economic growth, said the Premier.
The Chinese side is willing to strengthen cooperation at all levels with Indonesia by promoting political mutual trust, advancing cooperation in the field of political safety, and deepening pragmatic cooperation in key fields, in order to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
Panjaitan said that Indonesia regards China as the most important cooperation partner and is willing to develop a close and friendly relationship with China, strengthen communication and coordination, and deepen exchanges and cooperation in fields such as safety and fishery. He also welcomes China to expand investment in Indonesia.
State Councilor Yang Jiechi also joined the meeting.
